Make-up Artists Barbara Kelly and Tiffany Tavarez

Barbara Kelly is a free lance professional make-up artist; certified, licensed barber and facialist. She was practically born with a wig and a makeup brush in each hand. The daughter of the late, renown Broadway wig maker and cosmetics founder, Bob Kelly*, Barbara has been immersed in hands-on techniques of hair, beauty and makeup her entire life. In 2011, Bald Girls Do Lunch was thrilled to have Barbara at our  BGDL "Spring in the City" event.  She loves teaching women how to keep beauty routines simple yet beautifully effective.  She's excited to work with our organization again.

Career highlights: Head make-up Artist and Supervisor for The Today Show (1992-2007). Barbara has worked extensively within the entertainment, news media and sports industries in TV and film.

Tiffany is a free lance professional make-up artist, actress (theater, film and TV) and  Beauty Advisor. "My goal is to make my clients feel beautiful with tips and tricks they can use themselves. I'm very excited to work with Bald Girls Do Lunch. All that you are doing for women with alopecia is wonderful!" Tiffany works for Yves Saint Laurent Cosmetics (NYC) and has experience with Benefit, Clinique (skin care) and Sephora as a Color Expert across many national product lines. Bring Tiffany all your beauty questions! She will explore your perfect bold and/or perfect nude lip color with you. She will define your perfect brow and show you how to replicate it. She was assistant make-up artist for the short film "Wasted" (2007). Tiffany will be appearing on the big screen in her first feature role in the indie film Purification opening in select theaters nationwide in April, 2012.

*Bob Kelly wig maker and make-up artist ( 1924-2011): A long a illustrious career that provided hair and makeup as diverse as Tina Fey's impersonation of Sarah Palin, the 1964 appearance of  the Beatles on the Ed Sullivan and decades of Saturday Night Live. Other credits include Tommy, West Side Story, The Little Mermaid, Cats, Guys and Dolls, Pippin', Camelot, Beauty and the Beast, Chicago, Legally Blonde, A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum, The Lion King, Mary Poppins and many more.
