Mark Lebwohl

In his role with Bald Girls Do Lunch, Dr. Lebwohl is providing  expertise on all medical issues related to alopecia areata. He advises  our team on new research as it’s developed, offers guidance on editorial  materials and answers medical questions from our team. He is a highly  respected physician who is known worldwide, and a thoughtful, forthright  individual. We are extremely fortunate to have him on board.

Dr. Lebwohl graduated summa cum laude from Columbia College in 1974  and graduated from Harvard Medical School in 1978. He completed  residencies in internal medicine and dermatology, both at Mount Sinai.  He has served as president of the New York Dermatological Society,  Manhattan Dermatologic Society, New York State Society of Dermatology  and as chairman of the Dermatology Section of the New York Academy of  Medicine.

Dr. Lebwohl has  written the first atlas devoted entirely to cutaneous manifestations of  systemic disease.

Dr. Lebwohl is especially well versed in dermatological diseases  related to the autoimmune system and is actively involved in clinical  trials of many new dermatologic treatments.

Next month we’ll introduce you to our new Psychological Advisor, Dr. Lila Swell.

“Your identity and your success go hand in hand. Many people  sacrifice their identities by not doing what they really want to do. And  that’s why they’re not successful.” ~ Dr. Lila Swell
